Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our brand new psychiatric hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience in various settings, including psychiatric hospitals, and acute care. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care management, nursing administration, and the ability to lead and supervise nursing staff effectively. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for developing education, auditing nursing requirements related to quality standards, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care by assessing and monitoring patient' health status.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' needs and preferences.
- Supervise nursing staff and manage shift operations to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct documentation reviews to maintain accurate medical records in compliance with charting system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and support services.
- Utilize communication systems for effective documentation and communication of patient information.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and treatment options.
- Ensure adherence to Medicare regulations and standards of practice in all aspects of care delivery.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and nursing best practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, psychiatric hospital, or acute care environments is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in nurse management or supervising nursing staff.
- Proficiency in using paper and EHR systems for documentation and patient management is essential.
- Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
