POSITION SUMMARY:
Clinical Social Worker Provides direct clinical and therapeutic services to the children, adolescents, families, and workers of Bluestone Children’s Center. We are hiring for our Livonia Location and is part of a larger team that supports and collaborates with one another and constantly works to inspire an employee culture that reflects Bluestone Children’s Center mission of encouragement and involvement.
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program required.
- Current, valid LMSW license in the State of Michigan required. At this time, we are unable to accept limited or temporary licensure.
- At least one year of experience providing behavioral health, mental health, or clinical services to children and/or adolescents.
- Experience working with children as young as 4 years old and comfort with caregiver participation and family-centered treatment.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and executive functioning skills.
- Meets Michigan requirements to provide clinical supervision, or demonstrates an interest and willingness to pursue supervisory credentials and responsibilities as applicable.
- Fully licensed clinician with an interest in and experience with clinical mentorship, supervision, and professional development preferred.
- Working understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures preferred.
- Experience working in a start-up, developing, or rapidly growing clinical environment preferred.
- Credentialed through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan/Blue Network panels preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy to assigned clients presenting with mental health and co-occurring needs, including developmental disabilities and/or behavioral health concerns, while maintaining a caseload and meeting weekly productivity expectations as determined by the supervisor.
- Provide individual clinical sessions to employees of Bluestone Children’s Center as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and clinical assessments and establish individualized treatment goals and plans.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and modify interventions based on client progress and ongoing clinical needs.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically appropriate documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge documentation, and other required insurance documentation.
- Collaborate actively with ABA, diagnostic, occupational therapy, speech and language, and other Bluestone Children’s Center departments to ensure clients receive coordinated and appropriate services based on their level of care.
- Collaborate with caregivers, schools, physicians, community providers, and other professionals involved in the client's care.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with educational, legal, health, social welfare, and mental health systems.
- Participate in clinical consultation, case review, supervision, and interdisciplinary collaboration as appropriate.
- Participate in professional development activities, including in-service training, peer review, external workshops, seminars, and other continuing education opportunities.
- Support the development and implementation of clinical programming, policies, and procedures within the counseling department.
- Adhere to all Bluestone Children’s Center policies and procedures related to clinical practice, documentation, training requirements, insurance guidelines, ethical standards, and confidentiality.
- Maintain professional licensure and required continuing education in accordance with the State of Michigan and applicable professional standards.

- Competence in crisis assessment and intervention, safety planning, and brief and time-limited therapeutic interventions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with caregivers and multidisciplinary treatment teams.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, families, colleagues, and external providers.
- Ability to work flexible hours consistent with program needs, including occasional evening hours.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion, empathy, cultural humility, and sensitivity while respecting the privacy, dignity, and individual needs of clients and families.
- Strong organizational, time-management, documentation, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment and make appropriate decisions regarding client care.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Pay: $63,630.23 - $76,629.95 per year
