Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in their own homes. This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Administer medication following care plans and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or assistive devices, ensuring safety during transfers
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and adhering to infection control protocols
- Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in social activities or recreational pursuits
Qualifications
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are often required for travel between client homes
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve clients’ well-being and quality of life
