Baker Installations is currently searching for a Construction Laborer to join our Fiber/Cable Construction Installation Team .

Major Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance of a general labor nature to the construction team
- Flagging Traffic and Safely moving a Bucket Truck as required
- Safely use hand and power tools
- Maintain organized, clean and safe work environment
- Perform duties courteously and professionally
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance
- Demonstrate dependability regarding attendance and punctuality
- Other duties as may be assigned
Requirements:
- Aptitude for detailed manual work with a focus on craftsmanship
- Able to work independently, relatively unsupervised
- Safety conscious
- Construction or outside work experience is preferred
- Be at least 21 years old
- Be able to carry and climb an 80-pound, 28’ extension ladder, many times each day
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Have a valid Driver’s License and good driving record
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Maximum body weight 275 pounds to comply with safety limitations of equipment
- Eligible/Able to obtain a DOT medical card and complete a Flagger Training Course
Physical Demands:
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Carry and Climb 80 pound, 28 foot extension ladder
- Prolonged standing
- Bend, lift, kneel, stretch, crawl, stoop
Schedule / Hours: Workdays are typically Monday - Friday, but may include Saturday on occasion. Average work week is 40-50 hours. Our work is also subject to off hour call outs for breaks in Fiber lines.
