Job Responsibilities
- Collect, receive, process, and prepare patient specimens for laboratory testing.
- Perform chemical, microscopic, bacteriologic, hematologic, immunologic, and other diagnostic laboratory tests.
- Analyze specimens using both manual and automated laboratory equipment.
- Interpret, document, and report accurate test results.
- Maintain quality control standards and comply with laboratory policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to support patient care.
Schedule
- 4 x 10-hour weekday shifts
- No weekends
- No on-call requirements
Required QualificationsMedical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- Current ASCP or AMT certification
Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (MLS/MT)
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
- Current ASCP or AMT certification
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician
- Minimum 5 years of microbiology plate reading experience and/or microbiology supervisory experience
- Required experience with Microbiology
- Required experience using MEDITECH
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality assurance, and safety protocols
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
Pay: $60.00 - $63.00 per hour
