Adjunct Instructor for Mathematics
Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates to apply for adjunct teaching positions in Mathematics. This is a part-time/temporary adjunct faculty position. Position reports to the Department Head. This is a continuous vacancy announcement that is filled on a “need only” basis. All applications are kept on file and when courses become available applicants will be notified. Work may be performed online or in an office and classroom environment with a significant amount of public contact in person, by telephone, email, and various communication platforms.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Teach assigned classes and evaluate student performance
- Adheres to the educational philosophy of the college
- Support the integrity of the curricula with the Department Head
- Follow Redlands Community College official course calendar observing holiday breaks and start/stop times
- Assess and encourage student achievement per student learning objectives
- Interact in an effective and encouraging manner with students individually and in groups
- Maintains department and student information according to Redlands policies
- Promote the mission of the department, as well as the college
Qualifications include:
- Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline required
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with clear, grammatically correct English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as email and internet
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- Experience in various teaching delivery formats preferred

Redlands provides email notifications to all students, faculty and staff when a Clery Crime occurs in or near Redlands Community College campus or any of its sites. These notifications are primarily sent if the incident poses an ongoing safety threat as determined by the President of the College or his designee. The act requires colleges and universities to make “timely warnings,” known as “Safety Alerts” at Redlands, to campus community members about specific types of crime if an ongoing threat is believed to exist.
