Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery / Warehouse Worker to join our team. This role involves a combination of warehouse duties and delivery responsibilities, ensuring that our products are delivered safely and efficiently to our jobsites. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and have experience in warehouse operations, including loading and unloading goods, operating the company delivery van, and handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The ability to identify commercial electrical components is necessary.
Duties
- Load and unload products from delivery vehicles and warehouse shelves.
- Safely operate box trucks or other commercial vehicles for deliveries.
- Follow designated routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Assist in dropping off the deliveries to the jobsites.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory management, including organizing stock in the warehouse.
- Perform heavy lifting and moving of products as required.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse environment.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with all team members.
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with knowledge of inventory management practices.
- Experience in commercial driving, particularly with box trucks or large vehicles.
- Familiarity with delivery driver responsibilities, including route planning and time management.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and move products effectively.
- Proficient in operating forklifts and pallet jacks; certification is a plus.
