Overview:
We are seeking Full Time skilled and compassionate Pre-Operative/Post-Operative Nurses to join our healthcare team. As a Pre-Operative/Post-Operative Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients preparing for and recovering from surgical procedures. Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their overall condition post-surgery
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and post-operative care instructions
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding post-operative recovery
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in South Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Critical Care, ER, Pre or Post operative surgical setting.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, body systems, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to provide exceptional patient care
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
