Overview
We are seeking a hardworking Dental Assistant to join our small and mighty team. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their dental experience. This is a position for a well experienced and professional dental assistant. Must be confident and skilled in entering and presenting treatment plans. We are really looking for someone with a good attitude and a passion for dentistry.
Duties
- ensuring high standards of patient care and infection control are maintained.
- Assist dentist during a wide range of procedures including crowns, implants, dentures/partials, root canals, surgical extractions/bone grafts, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.
- Make temporaries and pour models
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and proper sterilization protocols are followed.
- Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical histories, and ensuring accurate medical documentation in electronic health records (Open Dental)
- Take high-quality X-rays and utilize advanced medical imaging tools like intra-oral camera and 3D scanners.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care instructions, and answer any questions related to procedures.
- Manage lab cases
Qualifications
- Knowing how to treatment plan and present plan to patient.
- Proficiency in Open Dental
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during procedures across various specialties including oral surgery and prosthodontics.
- Knowledge of X-ray techniques, medical imaging technology including 3D scanners and CT Scaning.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations for safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with dentists, hygienists, administrative staff, and patients.
- Certification in Dental Assisting (CDA) or EFDA with X-ray certification. Join our team where your expertise will make a meaningful difference! Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
