Position Summary
We are seeking a NeuroRehabilitation Technician to join our dynamic team. This role supports clients in specialized rehabilitation programs, ensuring safety, progress, and a positive experience. Ideal candidates are passionate about helping others, have a foundational understanding of anatomy and physiology, and are pursuing or hold a degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with Activity-Based Therapy (ABT) and locomotor training under supervision.
- Prepare and maintain training areas and equipment before and after sessions.
- Safely transfer clients between wheelchairs and equipment.
- Operate and troubleshoot ABT modalities (e.g., NMES, FES, vibration training).
- Set up clients on Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) bikes.
- Support classes and programs are offered at the facility.
- Foster a positive, motivational environment and ensure client safety.
- Communicate client progress and concerns to supervising staff.
- Attend ongoing training sessions to stay current on techniques and equipment.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed.
- Uphold legal and ethical standards and maintain facility cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or completed a degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and strength/conditioning principles.
- Experience in fitness or rehabilitation settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to empathize, problem-solve, and maintain professionalism.
- Positive attitude, punctuality, and reliability.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $15–$17 per hour
- Opportunities for growth and advancement.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
