We are currently selecting the top 100 founding chefs to launch this platform. As a founding chef, you won’t just use the app; you will work directly with our brand, gain massive early exposure, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of private dining. This is a fully flexible, contracted position where you retain total control of your schedule and keep 100% of your earnings.

Responsibilities
- Personalized Dining: Develop customized menus that reflect clients’ dietary preferences, restrictions, and cultural tastes while maintaining culinary excellence in private settings.
- Flawless Execution: Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality, gourmet meals with precision, ensuring optimal food safety, sanitation, and presentation standards are upheld at all times.
- Independent Management: Oversee all kitchen operations for your bookings, including inventory control, food production, and time management to optimize your workflow.
- Event Coordination: Coordinate catering events, intimate special dining experiences, banquet-style service, or themed dinners from start to finish.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Act as the face of One Hour Chef during the launch phase, maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, customer service, and culinary creativity.
Required Credentials & Skills
To maintain the elite status of our top 100 cohort, applicants must possess:
- Professional Credentials: Culinary school graduates, real-life professional experience, and self taught chefs are all welcomed to apply.
- Portfolio & References: A professional food portfolio showcasing your best work, along with professional references if applicable.
- Fine Dining Expertise: Experience in fine dining, catering, or high-end hospitality environments prefered but not required if applicant has sufficient knowledge.
- Dietary Knowledge: Deep understanding of various dietary requirements, allergen protocols, and food safety/sanitizing procedures.
- Operational Skills: Competence in menu planning, food handling, and optionally, beverage pairings/cocktail service to elevate the client experience.
Our Interview & Selection Process
Because we are only selecting 100 founding chefs to work directly with our brand, our vetting process is rigorous but highly rewarding:
- Step 1: Initial Interview – A brief virtual video call or in-person interview to discuss your background and vision.
- Step 2: Test Kitchen Showcase – Selected finalists will be invited to our state-of-the-art test kitchen to prepare and showcase your favorite signature dish.
- Note: All food, ingredients, and kitchen tools will be provided by us for this showcase. You are also welcomed to bring anything specific you'd like to use for your dish!
- Note: Background checks may be required upon selection.
