Job Overview
CSU Industries, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team in Cartersville, GA. In this role, you will review architectural plans and specifications, perform material take-offs in Procore, and develop accurate cost estimates and proposals for commercial millwork projects. Your expertise will drive competitive, accurate bids and ensure a smooth handoff to project management, drafting, and production teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial millwork professional to bring precision and business insight to high-quality cabinetry and architectural woodwork projects.
Responsibilities
- Review architectural and construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to prepare accurate project estimates.
- Perform material take-offs in Procore to quantify materials, labor, and other project costs.
- Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to develop competitive bids.
- Prepare detailed cost proposals and bid packages, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements and deadlines.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Drafters, and Production teams to validate scope, pricing, and constructability.
- Track bid results and follow up with general contractors to support award and contract negotiation.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, pricing history, and vendor quotes to support future bids.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience estimating commercial millwork projects.
- Experience performing take-offs in Procore (required).
- Familiarity with Cabinet Vision and other CAD/drafting software a plus.
- Strong understanding of commercial casework, architectural millwork, and construction detail documentation.
- Knowledge of building code analysis and compliance standards relevant to cabinetry systems.
- Ability to accurately interpret architectural schematics and specifications.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
