Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of trucks, while ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate diverse road conditions.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers CDL-A, to transport goods efficiently.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage logs and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Manage routes efficiently to optimize delivery times while ensuring compliance with hours-of-service regulations.
Skills
- Proficient in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues as they arise.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
