Southern Woodcraft & Design, LLC located in Oxford, NC is currently accepting applications for an installation technician for our street sign and centralized mailbox systems. The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, and willing to learn. Hours are full time, Monday through Thursday from approximately 6am to 4pm.
Duties Include:
- Work independently or as part of a team to install signage and centralized mailbox systems per work order specifications.
- Must be mechanically inclined and handy. Must be proficient with the function and safe operation of hand and power tools and digging equipment
- Safely operate company vehicles and trailers, including the ability to use navigation systems to job site locations
- Assisting with preparing products for installation, including the use of our inventory systems
- Assist in preparing trucks for daily routes
- Prepare and submit routine administrative paperwork
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Good communication skills when coordinating with team members
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Motivation to learn new skills
- Willingness to train on company-specific technical equipment including the ability to use tablets to complete a wide array of paperwork
- Ability to read and understand plans and site maps
- Good communication and writing skills
- Two years higher education or Vocational, Trade, or Tech School
- Prior field experience a plus
- Sufficient physical ability to perform moderate lifting (approximately 75 pounds).
- Physical stamina when working outdoors for periods of time
- Reliable transportation and Holds a current/valid NC Driver’s License and a clean driving record
- Ability to work full time
