Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fiberglass Laminator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with fiberglass materials and a strong understanding of laminating processes. This role involves creating high-quality fiberglass components for various applications, ensuring that all products meet the required specifications and standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare molds and surfaces for fiberglass application by cleaning and applying release agents.
- Mix and apply resin to fiberglass layers according to specified guidelines.
- Utilize power tools and equipment safely to cut, shape, and finish fiberglass components.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production issues and improve processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in materials handling and inventory management as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fiberglass laminating or related fields such as auto body repair or machining is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations during the laminating process.
- Experience using power tools, cranes, and airless paint spraying equipment is a plus.
- Ability to weld and fabricate components as necessary for specific projects.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing production needs.
