Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Box Truck Driver & Sprinter van driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating to deliver goods to various locations, ensuring timely and professional service. This role requires excellent driving skills, perfect driving record,a strong focus on customer service, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as possibly heavy lifting and moving. Prior experience with warehouse operations, route driving, and equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus. The position offers an opportunity to travel to areas of the United States and delivery goods to customers
Responsibilities
- Safely operate box truck or sprinter van for over the road deliveries along designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks
- Ensure accurate delivery of goods to customers, maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during route driving
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or commercial driver with route driving expertise
- Familiarity with box trucks, manual transmission vehicles, and heavy lifting techniques
- Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (preferred)
- Excellent driving record and knowledge of traffic laws and safety procedures
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform moving tasks efficientlywhen or if needed
- Good organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and paperwork
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for box truck driver classification or similar credentials
- Willingness to work over the road and possibly sleep in the Truck if needed for efficient delivery times
- 60/40 split driver covers gas (gas card provided with signed contract- comes out of Weekly Settlement)
