Restaurant Tea Service, Inc. is a distributor of premium teas and coffee for the foodservice industry in Southern California since 1983. We deliver top of the line specialty products to our customers. In addition, we also provide installation, repairs, and a preventive maintenance program for commercial tea, coffee, and espresso equipment.
An immediate opening is available for a Service Technician (FT)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installing and servicing coffee and tea brewing equipment to new and existing customers (Espresso machine repair experience a plus)
- Performing scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting or diagnosing service problems, and repairs on brewing equipment
- Working closely with management and sales team to ensure a professional experience for every customer
- Maintain inventory and maintenance on equipment such as product, parts, tools, and vehicle
- Communication of completion of emergency service calls as assigned to ensure prompt response for customers through time management skills
- Ability to execute under occasional stressful situations with a sense of urgency
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of technical experience as a Service Technician for the coffee and tea service industry.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Good mechanical aptitude (experience with plumbing and electrical a must)
- Valid driver’s license and a clean DMV record
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Good oral and written communication skills (Spanish +)
- Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
