Worthington Products is a small business located in East Canton, Ohio. We design and supply floating barrier systems used at dams, hydropower plants, reservoirs, and other waterway facilities.
We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to support our office, sales, and customer follow-up activities.
This is a hands-on office role. The right person will be comfortable answering phones, entering orders, helping prepare quotes, maintaining customer records, running reports, creating spreadsheets, and following up on open items.
This is also a small-business office environment. We are busy, and priorities can shift during the day. The right person will be organized enough to keep track of their work, flexible enough to adjust when needed, and comfortable asking questions when something is unclear.
This position requires accuracy, organization, clear communication, and a willingness to help where needed.
This is a fully onsite role located in East Canton, Ohio. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance or be willing to commute to the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project managers with project tracking and follow-up
- Help organize project documents, submittals, transmittals, and customer requirements
- Review purchase orders, contracts, specifications, and basic civil/mechanical drawings
- Track project timelines, deliverables, open items, and changes
- Assist with vendor RFQs, pricing, lead times, and delivery follow-up
- Communicate with customers, vendors, sales, engineering, and internal project staff
- Use Excel, AI tools, and business software to keep project information clear
Helpful Experience
Experience with project coordination, document control, construction, manufacturing, engineering support, customer communication, vendor follow-up, specifications, drawings, Excel, or project tracking systems would be helpful.

What Success Looks Like:
- Works with project managers to help keep customer projects organized, documented, communicated, and moving forward from quote stage through completion.
- Project execution support, customer communication, timelines, deliverables, submittals, transmittals, project documentation, project-specific RFQs.
- Uses inventory/order status from Sales Support to understand project impacts and communicate schedule risk to the PM/customer when needed.
- Coordinates with Sales Support when project orders need sales order setup or updates; does not own routine order entry.
- Issues or coordinates project-specific RFQs involving custom work, engineering, drawings, submittals, or project deliverables with PM/engineering input.
- Coordinates project-specific purchasing requirements with PM/engineering and ensures project impacts are tracked.
- Watches projects for changes to scope, specifications, drawings, submittals, deliverables, customer direction, and schedule compared to the quote, contract, and PO. Flags anything that may require commercial review or a change order.
- Flags project changes to the Project Manager / Sales / Management before proceeding when scope, schedule, deliverables, specifications, or customer requirements change.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
