American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a NM or compact RN license and BLS certification.
-
Work in the Acute Oncology unit of a hospital setting
-
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
-
Full time, 13-week assignment
-
Weekend rotation required
-
Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required
-
BLS certification from AHA required
-
1 year of experience in oncology nursing preferred

BSN preferred

Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned oncology patients

Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
-
Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
-
Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided
-
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
-
Make appropriate care assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed

Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility for local candidate consideration

Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for this travel assignment
