POSITION SCOPE:
The Material Handler is responsible of moving zinc castings, scrap hoppers, packaging, WIP castings and finished goods throughout the plant, as required. Material Handlers are accountable to keep all areas organized and clean.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep production workstations stocked with material needed to produce.

Detects and reports improper conditions or operations of forklift and requests maintenance as appropriate.

Ensure all materials are kept in their designated storage area.

Report any concerns regarding the organization of areas to your immediate supervisor.

Follows instructions from supervisor to adapt to any short-term requirements.

Load and unload trailers and trucks as required.

Properly completes daily paperwork.

Maintain clean and orderly work area consistent with safety and work rules and regulations.

Work safely around and/or while operating heaving equipment or manufacturing machinery.
- Regularly report for work on time with a desire to perform to the best of your abilities.
- Comply with all company employment policies, procedures/processes, and programs. Performs duties in compliance quality, as well as safety policies, procedures/processes, and programs.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain an active MIOSHA Forklift Operators Permit issued by CDCG.

CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, and WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of basic math, reading, and writing.

High School Diploma preferred.

Basic computer skills.

Forklift experience required.
