Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant General Manager to join our retail management team. Duties
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales, inventory, and staff management.
- Lead and motivate the retail team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Manage employee orientation, training & development initiatives to enhance team performance.
- Conduct interviewing and recruiting processes to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations.
- Implement inventory management strategies, including stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing, and inventory control.
- Supervise shift management duties such as cashiering, customer service excellence, and operational tasks ensuring smooth store flow.
- Coordinate purchasing activities and manage vendor relationships for store supplies and products.
- Enforce store policies related to safety, cleanliness, and organization while maintaining compliance with company standards.
- Utilize managerial communication skills to facilitate effective team meetings and performance reviews.
Skills
- Proven experience in assistant management roles within the retail industry with strong supervisory skills.
- Excellent negotiation abilities for vendor relations and conflict resolution.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases.
- Strong recruiting skills with experience in interviewing and onboarding new employees.
- Proficiency in payroll processing, bookkeeping, POS systems, inventory management software, and cash handling procedures.
- Deep understanding of retail math including sales analysis, pricing strategies, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent communication skills for team management and operational oversight.
- Experience in retail sales management with a focus on customer service excellence and sales growth strategies.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques, stock replenishment procedures, and inventory control practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently through excellent time management and organizational skills.

Pay: $40,515.11 - $44,000.00 per year
