American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.

Hospital Emergency Department setting
-
Day shift hours: 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
-
2 on-call shifts required per 6-week schedule period; each call shift is 13 hours with an expectation to be onsite within one hour
-
A mandatory 2-week nights rotation is required for all travelers
-
No block scheduling
-
Every other weekend shift required
-
Holiday shifts on a rotation basis

Epic EMR experience required
-
No floating required
-
13-week contract
-
Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)

Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)

TNCC highly preferred
-
Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience

ASN required; BSN preferred

Epic EMR experience required
-
Trauma Level 2 or higher experience preferred

Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families

Executes and continuously modifies care plans based on ongoing patient evaluation

Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient documentation to support the healthcare team
-
Upholds patient and staff safety standards by adhering to safety protocols and reporting or correcting hazards

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract

Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system
