Are you passionate about dance and love working with children? Plaza Production One is looking for energetic, reliable, and engaging Dance Instructors to join our Arizona teaching team!
We provide dance programs directly at preschools and elementary schools throughout the Phoenix metro area. We are looking for instructors who are available to teach with opportunities to take on additional or recurring classes as our programs grow.
Teaching Areas
We currently have programs in and around:
- Mesa
- Gilbert
- Chandler
- Scottsdale
- Central Phoenix
- North Phoenix
Local Phoenix-area applicants are strongly preferred.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking instructors who:
- Have dance experience and enjoy working with preschool and elementary-aged children
- Can create a fun, positive, and engaging classroom environment
- Are dependable, professional, and responsible
- Have reliable transportation
- Are comfortable traveling to different school locations
- Have afternoon availability
- Are available to pick up substitute classes as needed
- Communicate promptly regarding availability
- Have or are willing to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card/background clearance
Reliability and communication are extremely important for this position. Once a substitute assignment is accepted, instructors are expected to arrive on time and prepared to teach.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of dance teaching experience
- Experience working with preschool and/or elementary-aged children
- ECE units or Early Childhood Education background
- Musical Theatre experience
- College coursework or professional dance experience
- Ability to teach multiple dance styles
Responsibilities
- Teach creative, fun, and age-appropriate dance classes
- Create a positive and encouraging environment for students
- Arrive on time and prepared for each class
- Communicate professionally with school staff and the Plaza Production One team
- Travel to participating schools within your preferred teaching areas
- Potentially take on recurring weekly classes as they become available
Classes are generally held in the afternoons and typically last approximately 30–45 minutes.
Compensation
- $35–$40 per class
- Fuel/travel compensation available
- Flexible part-time schedule
- Opportunities for additional and recurring classes
- Higher compensation may be available based on experience, qualifications, and ECE background
