Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Sterilization Technician to join our vibrant dental team. Students are encouraged to apply, this is a temporary position from April-October however, months may be flexible! No experience is required. We are more than happy to train the right candidate! In this vital role, you will ensure the highest standards of infection control and sterilization protocols are maintained across the clinic. Your expertise will support the delivery of safe, efficient, and top-quality dental care by preparing and sterilizing dental instruments. Duties
- Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize all dental instruments using autoclaves and other sterilization equipment in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Maintain meticulous records of sterilization cycles, instrument inventory, and medical documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
- Support the dental team in preparing treatment rooms with necessary supplies, including X-ray equipment and 3D scanners for advanced imaging needs.
- Ensure aseptic techniques are strictly followed to prevent cross-contamination during all clinical activities.
- Collaborate with dental receptionists and other staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and maintain a welcoming environment for patients.
- Support infection control protocols by monitoring clinic cleanliness, handling medical waste properly, and maintaining a sterile environment at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is appriciated, but not mandatory.
- Certification in infection control or sterilization techniques is desirable but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided for motivated candidates eager to learn.
