What You’ll Do
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you’ll assist individuals with disabilities in daily living, skill-building, and personal growth. The focus of this position is habilitation, which means teaching and supporting people to become as independent as possible.
Responsibilities include:
· Providing hands-on in-home care and assistance with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, and personal organization
· Teaching life skills that promote independence and confidence
· Acting as a positive role model and mentor
· Assisting individuals with community engagement and pursuing personal goals
· Maintaining accurate documentation (progress notes, medication logs, timesheets, and reports)
Requirements
· High school diploma or GED
· Basic reading, writing, and math skills
· Valid driver’s license
· Ability to complete required certifications (training provided):
o Level One Medication Administration (L1MA)
o CPR and First Aid
Experience as a caregiver, DSP, or in-home support staff is a plus, but not required—we provide all necessary training!
