MoonDollars Bistro is seeking dedicated individuals to join our back of house team. As a Back of House Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. From dishwashing to food preparation and cooking, you will contribute to creating a memorable dining experience for our customers.
Responsibilities (varies depending on the position you are applying for):
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils efficiently and in compliance with sanitation standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and preparing sauces.
- Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes.
- Cook and assemble menu items according to customer orders and specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including storage areas and workstations.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Food handler's certificate or willingness to obtain one.
