Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for planning and conducting segments of treatment programs aimed at restoring and improving patients' physical, social, and mental functions, while meeting departmental objectives. The PT serves as a co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient groups.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Complete thorough evaluations to ensure quality standards and address all necessary assessment areas.
Utilize appropriate clinical techniques and tools to establish individualized treatment plans for patients.
Provide therapy interventions using appropriate treatment protocols and techniques.
Establish individualized care and discharge plans, ensuring communication of these plans to all appropriate parties.
Complete comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines.
Supervise assigned assistants.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience:
Licenses/Certifications:
Required:
Physical Therapy (PT) licensure in the state of practice.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS, HS-BLS, or RQIBLS) certification.
Valid Driver’s License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older.
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heartsaver CPR (CPR) is also specified as required.
Schedule and Compensation:
Schedule: Full-time, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation: Mileage reimbursement is provided in addition to the base rate, utilizing the government rate.
