Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met
- Assist with menu planning, developing new recipes, and refining existing offerings to enhance guest satisfaction
- Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, marinating, portioning, and plating with precision and care
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
- Support kitchen operations by managing food handling, storage, and inventory control efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods and special catering events
- Demonstrate excellent knife skills and culinary techniques to elevate the quality of every dish served
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant or food industry setting, with a strong emphasis on fine dining or catering experience
- Demonstrated expertise in food preparation, cooking methods, and food handling procedures
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Skilled in menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
