Berkeley International Montessori is a traditional Montessori school, serving students from 2.5 to 6 years old in Japanese language immersion environments. Our innovative, growing program is true to Montessori principles and is run by a highly experienced team who have worked together for many years.
We are seeking a full time Japanese assistant teacher to assist in our 2.5-6 years old program. The ideal candidate MUST be able to work all 5 days, Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm.
Qualifications
- 12 core semester units in early childhood education is preferred. School will support candidates who do not currently have ece units but are willing to take the course for this position.
- Fluent in Japanese
- Have a natural team orientation
- Are self-motivated and enthusiastic about working with children
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Teaching and Childcare experience required
- Montessori experience is preferred but not required
- Status to work in the US (required)
