What You Will Do:
TERMINALS
Kinder Morgan is the largest independent terminal operator in North America, providing a strong, reliable network of 139 terminals serving our customers’ storage, distribution, blending and logistical needs. Our terminals store and handle renewable fuels, petroleum products, chemicals, vegetable oils and other products. We have a combined liquids storage capacity of approximately 141 million barrels and handle about 56 million tons of dry bulk materials annually.
This position will have a dual reporting relationship: Manager, Quality Control and Director, Engineering. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1) Analysis and reporting of key operational data.
2) Understanding and assisting in the development and implementation of capital projects.
3) Recognize and promote ideas that provide a safer, more efficient and cost-effective operation.
4) Actively participate and champion efforts to continuously improve the safety of operations including the safety committee, safety inspections, safety audits, compliance with policies and procedures, tailgate meetings, incident investigations, root cause analysis, completion of action items, safety incentive program, measurement of key performance indicators and the development of continuous improvement initiatives.
5) Other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will be exposed to both operational and engineering aspects of our Terminal business, which includes both liquid and bulk commodity transportation.
What You Need:
Minimum Requirements:

Working toward a degree in Energy Management, Finance, Supply Chain, or Engineering

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office – (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability and desire to work in a team environment and to be able to work independently

Technical writing ability

Engineering knowledge or skills
-
Entering Junior or Senior year of college
Working Conditions:

Office environment and field work within the terminal.

Travel within the Houston area may be required.

Additional hours may be required to meet the needs of the region and its customers.
