Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PreK Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to create a nurturing, engaging, and structured environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development
- Support classroom management by fostering positive behavior and guiding children through routines and activities
- Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs
- Help prepare classroom materials and set up learning stations that promote exploration and discovery
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and social interaction
- Monitor children's progress and communicate observations to teachers for ongoing assessment and planning
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety regulations
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Skills
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices in preschool education
- Experience with special education strategies, behavior management, and working with children with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, and math instruction for young learners
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and children
- Classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment
- Familiarity with Project Construct or preschool teaching methodologies is a plus
- Ability to work well in daycare or private school settings, demonstrating patience and adaptability

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
