Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Russian Speaking Family Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews, with a focus on culturally sensitive communication in Russian.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, prescribe medications in accordance with DEA regulations, and manage ongoing patient care across diverse settings such as outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities, and home care environments.
- Perform clinical procedures including suturing, IV infusion, phlebotomy, catheter care, and injection administration while maintaining sterile technique standards.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of medical records, coding diagnoses using ICD-10/ICD-9 systems, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists (such as gastroenterology or infectious disease experts), and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans.
- Engage in telehealth consultations to expand access to care for remote or homebound patients while demonstrating proficiency with telehealth platforms.
- Educate patients and their families on health management strategies, medication use, nutrition, and preventive care tailored to their cultural backgrounds.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Fluency in Russian and English is essential for effective communication with patients and team members.
- Proven experience in primary care settings with familiarity in medical office procedures such as CPT coding, medical documentation, and electronic health records management.
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical skills including suturing, IV insertion, phlebotomy, catheterization, and sterile processing techniques.
- Experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs is preferred.
- Knowledge of critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Center experience is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of healthcare laws including Workers’ Compensation law and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliant practice standards.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams across outpatient clinics, hospital settings, or post-acute care facilities.
