Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment for infants and toddlers. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will inspire young learners and support their growth in all areas of development.
Duties
- Implement the curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, including literacy, motor skills, and social-emotional growth
- Provide attentive care tailored to the unique needs of infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and nap routines
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to foster a respectful and nurturing atmosphere
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to ensure a collaborative approach to development
- Maintain accurate records of children's activities, developmental progress, and health information in compliance with mandated reporting laws
- Foster a safe environment by adhering to health and safety standards, including first aid and CPR protocols
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and implementing best practices in early childhood education
Requirements
- Need an high school diploma or higher and needs to be 18+ years old.
- Experience working with children in a childcare or preschool setting, particularly with infants and toddlers
- Knowledge of child development principles, early intervention strategies, and childhood welfare practices
- Strong skills in curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and health & safety procedures such as first aid and CPR certification
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to teach lessons that incorporate literacy education, physical activity, and early math concepts
- Prior experience with preschool or daycare environments is preferred
