Beaufort Memorial, a not-for-profit health system founded in 1944, is opening the first combined full-service, free-standing Emergency and Urgent Care facility on Hilton Head Island at 1016 William Hilton Pkwy. This hybrid facility reflects our mission to enhance the quality of life in the Lowcountry through improved health, innovative partnerships and superior care. Providing a single point of access and a seamless, patient-centered approach, our care team is fully equipped to treat everything from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions—delivering the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
The registered nurse at BMH supports the philosophy of nursing by planning and coordinating care for a group of patients within his/her area. This individual has the responsibility to direct ancillary personnel for implementation of the patient's plan of care and has satisfactorily mastered the basic skills in the assigned area. The scope of nursing practice is focused on an assigned group of patients and encompasses charge responsibilities as assigned. Performs within the limits of SC Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for nurses, hospital policies and procedures, and Nursing Standards of Practice.
