We are seeking a dynamic and organized Event Coordinator with a passion for sewing, quilting, and embroidery to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events that focus on these specialized techniques. The Event Coordinator will work closely with local and national educators, ensuring that our events provide participants with a high-quality learning experience. This role requires someone with strong event coordination skills, a deep understanding of the sewing, quilting, and embroidery community, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate a variety of events, including workshops, seminars, and exhibitions focused on sewing, quilting, and embroidery techniques.
- Develop detailed event schedules, timelines, and logistics plans.
- Coordinate venue selection, setup, and breakdown.
- Educator & Instructor Liaison:
- Build and maintain relationships with popular local and national educators in the sewing, quilting, and embroidery fields.
- Coordinate with educators to develop event content, including class descriptions, supply lists, and educational materials.
- Ensure that instructors have the necessary resources and support for their sessions.
Scheduling & Logistics:
- Manage event calendars and ensure all events are scheduled appropriately, avoiding conflicts with other major industry events.
- Oversee registration processes, including participant sign-ups, confirmations, and payment collection.
- Coordinate travel, accommodations, and other logistics for out-of-town educators and participants.
- Marketing & Promotion:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through social media, email campaigns, and other channels.
- Develop promotional materials, including event flyers, brochures, and online content.
- Assist in identifying target audiences and developing strategies to increase event attendance.
Budget Management:
- Work within established budgets, ensuring that all events are financially viable.
- Track expenses and provide regular reports on event profitability.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to event participants, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
Gather feedback from attendees and educators to continuously improve future events.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event coordination, preferably within the sewing, quilting, or embroidery industry.
- Familiarity with popular local and national educators in the sewing, quilting, and embroidery community.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- A passion for sewing, quilting, and embroidery techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel as needed for events.
