We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our legal team in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support to attorneys by conducting legal research, preparing documents, and managing case files to ensure efficient and effective legal services.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and closings.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information.
- Draft, review, and organize legal documents including pleadings, contracts, and discovery materials.
- Manage and maintain case files and documentation.
- Coordinate communication between clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases.
- File documents with courts and government agencies as required.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and managing calendars.
- Associate’s degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a paralegal or in a related legal role.
- Civil litigation experience required, med mal preferred.
- Trial experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Georgia state laws and court systems is a plus.
