We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Music Production Enrichment Instructor to teach middle school students the fundamentals of music production, beat-making, recording, and digital audio. The ideal instructor will have hands-on experience with the students for full engagement. The instructor will create a positive, supportive learning environment where students can explore their creativity while developing practical music production skills.
Teach middle school students the fundamentals of music production and audio engineering.
Introduce students to ARC and related music production tools and workflows.
Develop engaging, age-appropriate lessons in beat-making, songwriting, recording, sampling, and basic mixing.
Guide students through creating original beats, songs, and music projects.
Teach foundational concepts such as rhythm, melody, arrangement, sound design, and digital audio.
Provide hands-on instruction and individualized support based on students' skill levels.
Encourage creativity, collaboration, confidence, and musical self-expression.
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Assist students in completing and presenting music projects.
Help maintain music production equipment, software, and classroom materials.
Experience in music production, beat-making, recording, or audio engineering.
Familiarity with ARC is strongly preferred.
Experience teaching, mentoring, coaching, or working with middle school students is preferred.
Proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs) and music production software.
Strong understanding of basic music theory and contemporary music production.
Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, age-appropriate manner.
Creative, patient, dependable, and enthusiastic teaching style.
Ability to create a safe, respectful, and encouraging learning environment.
Experience producing original music or releasing music professionally.
Experience with MIDI, sampling, virtual instruments, recording, and mixing.
Experience with additional DAWs or production platforms.
Classroom, after-school program, youth music program, or educational experience.
Portfolio, demo reel, or examples of original music production.
Starting pay: $35/hour
Part-time position
