Travel PCU / Stepdown RN Opportunity – Marshfield, Wisconsin
We're seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This opportunity is ideal for nurses with recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Stepdown, Medical-Surgical, or ICU experience who are comfortable managing neuro and trauma patients in a high-acuity acute care setting.

- Shift: 12-Hour Day Shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week
- Care Setting: Acute Care Hospital
- Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Rotating Holidays
- Call Requirement: None
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for neuro, trauma, and progressive care patients
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Monitor neurological status and recognize changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and titratable drips
- Care for patients with tracheostomies and ventilators
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to patient changes
- Document patient care accurately using the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain patient safety while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in PCU, Stepdown, Medical-Surgical, or ICU
- Experience within an acute care hospital during the past year
- Current BLS Certification (AHA)
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
- Experience caring for patients receiving titratable IV drips
- Comfortable caring for tracheostomy patients; ventilator experience preferred
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
