Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest issues and determine appropriate treatment plans using integrated pest management techniques.
- Apply pesticides and chemical agents safely and accurately, adhering to all pesticide management regulations and safety protocols such as respiratory protection and confined space entry procedures.
- Operate company vehicles, power tools, hand tools, farm machinery, and lawn care equipment efficiently for outdoor work tasks.
- Utilize ladders safely for access to elevated areas during pest inspections or treatments, following ladder safety procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of pesticide applications, chemical handling logs, and treatment reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Engage with customers professionally to explain pest control solutions, answer questions, and ensure satisfaction with services provided.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently while handling chemicals, operating equipment, or working in confined spaces or outdoor environments.
Experience
- Prior experience in pest control, pest management, or related outdoor work such as farming, landscaping, or agriculture is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of entomology principles related to pests commonly encountered in residential or commercial settings.
- Familiarity with pesticide application techniques, chemical handling procedures, and safety equipment like respiratory protection gear.
- Experience operating ladders, power tools, farm machinery, or lawn care equipment in outdoor environments.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools are advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for operating company vehicles safely on job sites.
