Pediatric ER RN Needs in Syracuse, NY
Location: Syracuse, NY
Start Date: ASAP
Shifts: X1 NOC (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) 36 hours per week
Length: 13 weeks
Pay Rate:
Local RN: $60/hr.
RN Travel with housing: $45/hr
RN Travel no housing split: $27/hr. taxable + $1260 non taxable weekly stipend (27/35)
Responsibilities and Duties
- Rapidly assess incoming patients to prioritize care based on acuity level.
- Initiate life-saving interventions, manage trauma cases, and stabilize patients in critical condition.
- Administer prescribed medications, calculating dosages based on weight-specific parameters.
- Assist with procedures such as intubation, sutures, and splinting.
- Continuously monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatment, adjusting care as needed.
- Educate families, communicate clearly under pressure, and provide emotional support to reduce anxiety.
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records for all patient interactions.
- Work alongside physicians and specialists to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements:
- Resume - long-term care experience
- Nursing license – RN NY License
- Current - BLS/CPR
- Skills checklist
- 1 to 2– current -Supervisor references
- Physical Exams(within the last 12 months)
- PPD (within the last 12 months)
- Immunization Records ( MMR, Varicella, Tdap, HepB, Flu)
- Covid Vaccination Card
- Exams
- LGBT Training Certification
- Copy or driver’s license and SS card
- Must be able to pass background/ urine drug screen
