Key Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize the organization's tax position.

Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support in tax planning and compliance matters.

Conduct thorough tax research to stay informed about new regulations and changes in tax law that may affect the organization.

Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities during audits and inquiries, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Analyze financial data to identify tax savings opportunities and recommend appropriate actions to stakeholders.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA or Enrolled Agent designation preferred.

Proven experience in tax accounting, compliance, and preparation, preferably in a public accounting environment.

Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance requirements.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams and clients.
