Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in menu planning, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and seasonal ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs for reordering.
- Participate in catering events as required, providing exceptional service to guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, with a focus on cooking roles.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation processes.
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in catering services is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
