Responsibilities
- Review and analyze real estate documentation, including legal descriptions, title reports, easements, and rights-of-way to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct thorough title reviews and ensure all necessary documentation aligns with underwriting guidelines and legal requirements.
- Utilize mapping software and GIS tools to interpret property boundaries, legal descriptions, and mapping data for precise processing.
- Research public records, land records, and other sources to gather pertinent property information needed for closing.
- Coordinate with title companies, law offices, surveyors, and other professionals to facilitate the transfer of property titles.
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation for escrow closings, including title commitments, deeds, affidavits, and closing statements.
- Maintain compliance with real estate law standards while adhering to company policies and underwriting guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, agents, lenders, and internal teams throughout the closing process.
Experience
- Prior experience in law offices or real estate firms specializing in title processing or closings is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of real estate law, legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way, and title review procedures.
- Proficiency with mapping software (such as GIS tools) and research methods involving public records and land data.
- Familiarity with title insurance processes, escrow procedures, and legal documentation review.
- Experience working within underwriting guidelines to ensure compliance during the closing process.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions.
