IT Project Manager - Facilities Experience
(Atlanta: Full-time, Hybrid)
Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, is seeking seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead technology initiatives that support the firm's physical office environments. This role will manage projects involving office openings, relocations, expansions, consolidations, and renovations, ensuring all IT infrastructure, telecommunications, audiovisual systems, and end-user technology are successfully deployed and operational. The ideal candidate has experience partnering with Facilities, Real Estate, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver complex workplace technology projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain project documentation for major projects including project charters, requirements, change logs, etc.
- Plan projects and track status for all assigned projects in Jira, including goals, timeframes, resources, assignments, and risk assessment.
- Motivate project participants to complete tasks on time.
- Contribute to the team’s success by pitching in when able and needed.
- Communicate status with IT leadership, primary stakeholders, and task owners.
- Advise IT leadership of risks to projects’ critical paths.
- Manage and coordinate directly with vendor resources when they are involved in project tasks.
- Generate reports on a regular and/or ad hoc basis.
- Assist in PMO build out and ensuring Best Practice procedures are being upheld to standard.
Facilities & Workplace Technology Experience
The ideal candidate has experience managing IT projects associated with corporate facilities, including:
- Office relocations and moves
- New office openings and build-outs
- Office expansions, consolidations, and renovations
- Technology infrastructure planning for physical workspaces
- Network, telecommunications, Wi-Fi, and AV deployments
- Conference room technology implementations
- Coordination with Facilities, Real Estate, architects, contractors, and external vendors
- Move planning, cutover activities, and post-move support
- Developing project timelines that align with construction and occupancy schedules
Requirements
- Technology degree and/or 6-10 years of experience and demonstrated ability to manage complex projects effectively.
- This position is based in the firm’s Atlanta Corporate Office, and will work a hybrid schedule.

Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with process improvement and Business Process Re-engineering is a big plus.
- Experience with Training and/or Change Management is a big plus.
- Strong understanding of multiple project management methodologies, including traditional waterfall process.
- Experience using Atlassian Products (Jira Work Management, Confluence, etc.).
- Any marketing experiences is a bonus.
- Experience with research and Quality Assurance testing.
- Background in legal technology is a plus.
- Certifications such as CAPM and PMP are a plus, but not required.
Work Conditions
- Occasional availability after business hours
- Occasional travel for remote office installs or moves.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.
