We are currently partnered with a leading international engineering and commissioning specialist that is continuing to scale its operations across Texas. With a strong pipeline of hyperscale data center projects, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join their growing Dallas team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical facilities while maintaining exposure to a mix of commercial projects.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering electrical commissioning activities across a portfolio that is approximately 80% data center and 20% commercial / industrial. You will play a key role in ensuring electrical systems are installed, tested, and fully operational in line with design specifications and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute commissioning and testing of LV and MV electrical systems
- Review design documentation and ensure systems are ready for commissioning
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, scripts, and procedures
- Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Coordinate with contractors, MEP teams, and client stakeholders
- Support project handover, documentation, and reporting
- Maintain strict adherence to safety and quality standards
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in electrical commissioning within data center or large commercial environments
- Strong understanding of systems such as switchgear, UPS, generators, and controls
- Data center experience is highly desirable
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, client-facing project environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Electrical qualifications or engineering degree preferred
