Overview
Extreme Ice Center is a two-sheet ice rink located southeast of Charlotte, N.C. that provides year-round programs, leagues, classes and events for hockey, figure skating and recreational skating.
Our in-house bar and restaurant, Center Ice Tavern, is seeking experienced bartenders that have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and offering recommendations on drinks and menu items.
- Handle cash and process transactions accurately using the Toast POS system.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages.
- Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or the food industry is preferred, particularly in restaurant or bar settings.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Familiarity with Toast or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help colleagues as needed.
SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY: PART-TIME -- Shift lengths are typically 6-8 hours. Weekdays: between 4:30 p.m. and 1 a.m.; Weekends: between 9 a.m. and 2 a.m. Shifts are available year-round at 20-30 hours per week. Part-time applicants must be available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Weekday closing shifts available.
COMPENSATION: $7.25-12.00 per hour, plus tips. Tip pooling for credit card tips.
Pay: $7.25 - $12.00 per hour
