American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring prior travel experience and a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Oncology experience.

Short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level I Trauma Center
-
Med/Surg Tele unit with some oncology patients
-
Team nursing model with a 1:12 ratio split between 2 RNs, LPNs, and a Med Nurse
-
Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00), with 36- or 48-hour week options available

On-call required as needed
-
Weekend shifts required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered

Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles is possible, though rare

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Active RN license — Tennessee (TN) or Compact (NLC) license required; no pending licensure accepted

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; 3+ years preferred

Med/Surg Oncology experience required

Level I Trauma Center experience required

Large hospital experience required

At least one completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers are not eligible

ADN or higher education accepted for this position

Driver's License required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront, as RTO will not be approved if not listed at the time of initial consideration

If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked

Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
