Job Summary
Looking for CDL Drivers that have a Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement. Work is mainly in North Carolina. Needing drivers that have exp. in driving a dump truck and vac truck. Must have knowledge is using manual transmissions . Will be working out of town anywhere from 6-8 weeks at a time depending on job. Company will pay to get you to job. Pay starts at $24 hr plus per diem. Room is also paid for. Must have clean driving record and pass drug test. When not driving will help on jobsite doing various tasks.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks, including manual transmission tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, on over-the-road (OTR) routes
- Navigate using GPS systems to ensure accurate and timely deliveries across assigned routes
- Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured according to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving
- Familiarity with flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, dump truck is highly desirable
- Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, logistics cargo handling, and securement techniques
- Valid CDL license with necessary endorsements such as Tanker preferred; must meet all FMCSA and DOT regulations for commercial drivers
- Experience operating vehicles with manual transmissions is a plus
- Prior experience in freight transportation or delivery driver roles demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and excellent customer service skillsEmbark on a career that drives your passion for transportation forward!
