Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, friendly and compassionate Client Service Representative to join our team!
We are a 3-doctor, small animal veterinary clinic located in Groveport, Ohio. While the clinic has been around for decades, we recently moved into a brand new facility in early 2024.
This position involves providing exceptional customer service to each person that walks through the door or reaches out to us via phone. The person in this role is responsible for assessing and responding to the needs of both our current and prospective clients. The daily tasks associated with this role are heavily centered around technology platforms including our digital medical software system, patient portal messaging system, internet based phones/voicemail, email, online appointment scheduling system, etc. Candidates need to be proficient in the use of technologies such as these and be able to navigate and monitor them daily.
CSR's are crucial in setting the tone for a client's experience at a business. They are often the first and last person that clients interact with during a visit at the clinic or when calling by phone. Kindness, understanding, patience and empathy are of utmost importance.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers and their pets into the vet clinic
- Check in the customers for appointments or surgeries
- Inform the medical team about the arrival of patients.
- Maintain, update, and file patients’ charts and records.
- Answer phone calls, emails and text communication from clients, referral centers, outside pharmacies, etc.
- Schedule appointments and surgical procedures.
- Receive and process payments.
- Answer any customers’ questions and concerns that may not be related to scheduling.
- Assist with the purchase of pet food, supplements and preventions
- Ensure that customers and their pets are seated comfortably in the waiting room.
- Help to maintain the cleanliness of the front desk area, lobby and exam rooms.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of veterinary procedures, medication, and terminology.
- Previous experience as a Veterinary CSR or similar role.
- Compassion and understanding.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
