JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant/Care Coordinator has primary responsibility and accountability for administrative support to the Program Director. This includes but is not limited to the following job functions.
1. Documents all elements of client records, changes, and concerns on a daily basis.
2. Receives and routes daily incoming mail.
3. Prepares daily outgoing mail.
4. Maintains current log of interim orders and plans of care to verify mail and return date to comply with state and federal
regulations.
5. Maintains adequate supply of client plan of care record elements and stock of pre-made records and time sheets
available for caregivers.
6. Answers telephone lines promptly and efficiently. Responds to message content appropriately, as instructed by the
Program Director. Records telephone calls onto call log.
7. Processes new client referral information into the computer system on a timely basis.
8. Tracks verification for all caregivers.
9. Coordinates and verifies documentation for input (time card verification, matching client billing)
10. Special projects and other related duties as assigned by the Program Director and other managers
11. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral sources.
12. Gathers, and process client and program billing weekly on a timely basis.
13. Provides input in strategic planning including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to meet
client needs.
14. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of in home care contractual relationships and ensures clients are entered
in the system according to contract provisions.
15. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assists referral sources in accessing
community resources.
16. Evaluates and coordinates scheduling for clients with available caregivers. Exercising good judgment for placement.
17. Rotates On-Call after hours phones every other week, to assist with call-offs, emergencies, and client prospects.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Two years data entry experience. Previous billing and computer experience, preferably in home health or similar
operation.
3. Previous health care related billing experience.
SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Ability to type 40 words per minute

3. Personal computer skills
4. Business machine knowledge

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
